i've jumped on the twitter bandwagon

I thought that I'd have more time to blog during my paternity leave, but I've actually had less. As a result, I've joined twitter, which is micro-blogging in the sense that it limits all posts to 140 characters. So I can't type too much and you don't have to read too much. It's not that people are lazy (including myself -- in fact writing so concisely is actually hard work) but people just don't have a lot of time these days.

I still plan to post to this blog and will try to do so more regularly. But for those quick, short updates I'll use twitter to share my thoughts. I haven't decided if I'll post more mundane things to it like I do on my Facebook status. I added a twitter gadget to the right-hand side of the blog so you'll always be able to see my latest tweets there.
